Accountant,
entrepreneur and BASSET trainer, Lea Sarikas has been chosen as this
quarter’s featured trainer. She is the founder and owner of Foodservice
Educational Seminars, Inc. and has been instructing food service
managers for the past 13 years. For the past two years, she has added
the BASSET program to her curriculum. Since becoming a licensed BASSET
trainer, Sarikas has trained 659 sellers/servers. Her other professional
experience includes 20 years working in the accounting profession,
specializing in restaurant accounting. Lea enjoys teaching the BASSET
course because she enjoys increasing the sellers/servers’ awareness of
what the consequences are when you serve alcohol to minors and
intoxicated individuals. When asked what advise she would give to
sellers/servers’ in the hospitality industry she replied, “Follow the
rules and regulations and apply your knowledge to prevent any
misfortunes to yourself and to your customers.” When taking time out of
her hectic schedule, Lea reads and travels. Sarikas resides in Chicago
and is the mother of four children, two girls and two boys. |
